Our Most Beloved

So I liek just wrote this poem and I think it is a lot better than other things I write and I feel good about myself.

Our Most Beloved
She goes outside only when it rains,
And has the grace of a dying, crippled dove.
She keeps a couple of mice in a cage,
So that she'll have something to love.
Her school mates think she keeps corpses under her bed
And call her a clumsy, ugly whore.
Their legs halting her progress through the halls,
And spilling her books on the floor.

Isn't she just ever so lovely?

Dad is yelling at the football game,
And Mother has expected such.
She knows that God hates her by now
But she wonders just by how much.
Her daughter's in the passenger seat and says
That she thinks she could fuck another girl.
Its not in those exact words, but still
It breaks her Mother's world.

She spends her time locked-up in her room
With her mice and videogames,
Cautiously avoiding confronting
The things her family has to say.
At school, some nameless face says
That her clothes make her look like a dyke.
She goes to his house to leave dog shit at the door
In the middle of the following night.
